Day Trip to Murano and Burano, Venice

A visit to the picturesque islands of Murano and Burano, a short hop from central Venice, is a fun and popular day trip. Some come to shop for Murano glass or Burano lace, others just stroll and take in the ambiance of colorfully painted houses along narrow ways. Burano in particular is as bright and varied as any child’s box of crayons. Even the laundry hung out to dry seems to be color coordinated with the façade.
