More Pics from Tarangire Natl Park, Tanzania

Septemer 4-7, 2013

Elephants may be the principal attraction of Tarangire National Park, but the Tarangire river attracts more than just elephants. Everything from exotic birds to multiple species of the antelope family including eland, dik-dik and waterbuck; to big cats, including cheetah, lions and leopards; and other large animals including zebra, giraffe and buffalo.

On our second morning we took the longish drive out to Silale Swamp near Oliver’s Camp (part of the Asilia Group of high-end tented camps) for a picnic breakfast. On this particular morning it was a pretty drive in the early morning light, but with few animal sighting. Our guide, Tesha, did, however, find a python up a tree for us.
