Ancient Agora of Athens, Greece

May 5, 2016

Another site where Rick Steves recommends a passionate imagination to bring the site to life. Steeped in history, this  ancient city is the birth place of antiquity. For the non-history buff the site offers a pleasant stroll through Mediterranean ruins. The stoa has been rebuilt and houses a quaint museum, while the intact Temple of Hephaestus offers panoramic views of the agora and the Acropolis above.

The Rick Steves free app and audio tour can be found here.
