Boliva

This page outlines posts related to the Bolivia portion of our 7 week trip to Peru, Bolivia and Chile in September/October of 2015. Our time in Bolivia was broken up into two parts.

The first time we entered the country from Peru near Copacabana on Lake Titicaca. We spent two nights on the Isla del Sol before continuing on to La Paz. In La Paz we met our guide for a 5 day Condoriri Mountain trek. Upon our return to La Paz we took the bus to Arica, Chile.

The second time we entered Bolivia was from Chile on the road northeast of San Pedro de Atacama, this time as part of a 3 day Uyuni Salt Flat tour that starts in San Pedro and ends in Uyuni. We then flew back to La Paz to catch our flight to the US.

The 3 day Uyuni Salt Flat tour can be done out of Uyuni, but you can also use it as transportation between San Pedro de Atacama in Chile and Uyuni in Bolivia. A great way to see the highlights of the Altiplano Desert.
